Sample Courses
Coursework includes fire prevention and safety, public education, building construction, fire ground strategies and tactics, and local government finance and laws, as they apply to emergency services management. Students will learn technical and administrative skills such as hydraulics, hazardous materials, arson investigation, fire protection safety, fire suppression management, law and code.
Employment opportunities may exist with providers of emergency medical services, fire departments, rescue agencies, hospital specialty areas, industry, and educational and government agencies.
FESHE Recognition
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College’s Fire Protection Technology program has demonstrated a commitment to the nationally recognized Fire & Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) model of standardized professional development education criteria.
The FESHE Recognition certificate is an acknowledgement that a collegiate emergency services degree program meets the minimum standards of excellence established by FESHE professional development committees and the National Fire Academy (NFA).
